OMS Strawberry, Banana & Cacao Smoothie
I’ve been making this smoothie a lot lately as I needed something nutritious with simple flavours to eat during my first trimester. For some reason I went completely off smoothie bowls but this went down really well! and gave me a nutrition boost!
It’s great for adding in extra calcium with the almond milk, extra fibre (chia seeds), potassium (bananas), protein (hemp seeds), vitamin c (strawberries) and magnesium from the cacao powder. Such a perfect combo all together!
2 frozen spotty bananas
4-5 fresh strawberries
1 tablespoon organic raw cacao powder
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
2 cups unsweetened almond milk
1-2 tablespoons chia seeds (2 tablespoons if you need the fibre otherwise 1 is fine)
Throw it all in a high speed blender and blend well till smooth!
