"WHOLEFOOD goes deliciously LUXE" with Hippelane the cookbook
This cookbook is a great place to start if you want to eat healthier and get inspired on OMS. As soon as I got it I couldn't stop making the recipes in it because everything is SO DELICIOUS!! pretty much all the recipes we've tried have been amazing with approval from Ben as well.
Her motto is...
"Wholefood goes deliciously luxe"
...and thats exactly what this cookbook is all about. I swore once I made the raw peppermint slice that I was actually eating store bought peppermint slice biscuits - I think i've made 3 batches since.
Her recipes aren't overly complicated with hard to find ingredients either. Just the usual healthy foods that you can find at the supermarket like medjool dates, cacao powder, cashews, extra virgin olive oil and flaxmeal, with a few health-food store additions.
But most importantly it's VERY OMS FRIENDLY. I've made a few little tweaks here and there, but i've found her recipes really easy to adjust to OMS eg. subbing almond-meal for desiccated coconut works great or just taking out the cocoa butter all together and maybe increasing the cashews if you wanted to. You get better at knowing what works after a while.
This is also the one cookbook since i've been diagnosed that has sat open on my kitchen bench because I consult it most nights for dinner inspiration and raw treat ideas.
My favourites so far are the Vegan Bolognese with brown rice pasta, the Raw Peppermint Slice and the Vegan Jam Sandwiches with Chia Jam. What I also love is that her recipes are really easy and quick to throw together. I can whip up a batch of peppermint slice after work then cook dinner afterwards, no worries, but energy permitted.
Below are some of my creations from her cookbook that both Ben and I devoured.
If you want to purchase a copy for yourself or for a friend you can find it here
I hope you enjoy it as much as we are!!
I'd love to know how you go with it so feel free to share what you make and love to.
Much love!! x
